dear yuma:
it's taken me awhile to adjust to calling you home.
we've been here 18 months and i'm finally feeling like a yuman.
i wear a jacket when it's 60 degrees, we keep our house at 80 degrees and i'm actually looking forward to 100 degrees [swimming!]
what you lack in greenery, shopping and proximity to family; you make up for in sunshine.
can't tell you how good it feels to be able to have a picnic outside in the middle of 'winter'.
feeling the sun on my face is a thing of beauty.
i'll spend the next few days soaking up all the vitamin d i can.
because then it's back to utah for brock's wedding where i will come face to face with my arch nemesis- the inversion.
or as i like to call it- 'the drainer of all energy and happiness'.
[for more info on what an inversion is, click here
utah, please be kind to us.
us yumans can only take so much sun deprivation before we become cranky.
[family members please take note: i require lots of cake bites and cafe rio to maintain happiness in cloudy weather]
yuma, you're growing on me.
can't say i love ya.... but i certainly really like ya.
and i most certainly love your sunshine.
keep up the good work.
